I wanted to think about the current state of affairs in Korea, which unfortunately isn’t all too optimistic. Innocent passengers sank into deep water last April, and shadow of the past accident still divides the public. A study done by Yonsei University revealed that Korean adolescents are the least happy among those in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) last year, a recent survey showed. The list is too long for me to mention all.
Staying pessimistic never yields an answer for the better future. So many of Korean citizens, however, live with a burden of sustaining their everyday life at work and home. In the face of continuing calamities it seems that they have to go on living with a blind faith that time is a remedy for all. But could simply passing time without making effort really serve as a true remedy?
